Cartoon Skeleton Drawing

This cartoon skeleton of a minion from the movie Despicable Me displays a full set of bones.  It starts out with a full formed skull and uses fracture lines to make it look more skeletal.  Since the minion's head is so large the remaining bones had to be squished in.  He is fit with a set of ribs along his one inch vertebrate, a two inch pelvic region right below that and has two miniature leg bones fit with all ten metatarsals.  The minion also has its shoulder blades shaded in black and its arms complete with metacarpals.  I had to be very  creative with this drawing, as i was crunched for space after it's enormous skull. You can see that every thing below the head is drastically shrunk to make it look proportional.  He only has four vertebrate total and only four ribs as well.  The hardest part of this project to me was making everything look proportional and in their right place after having such a huge head.  I feel that I fully accomplished creating a fully formed skeleton for this cartoon character and it was very enjoyable.  From this project i learned that if you take drawing one step at a time it is much easier.  I kept on getting frustrated when I tried to do too much a once and it all messed up, so when I took it one step at a time it went by much smoother.  I also learned that skeletons are very intricate and require a lot of detail. Overall I think this was a very interesting project since I was able to use my imagination to envision what I thought the skeleton would look like.
